I want to start a free trial on Netflix so I can use the online feature on my Xbox 360, but I’m worried that if I sign up with my card, that it might show up on the billing charges anyways(which I don’t want it to do). Will it?(of course, I would cancel it before the end of the trial)
They won’t charge you during the trial, but they will charge the card once the trial expires. I do believe they will send a $1 hold through to verify the card is valid, though, but the card will not actually be charged until the trial ends and/or you fail to return any DVDs they sent to you.

I have aa files and itunes (m4p) files that I need converted. Preferrably into mp3 files. Where can I get free trial software that is safe (No virus/spyware)? I need a free trial so I can cancel without paying.
Actually. Using Mediaconverter’s offline converter might work.

Looking for something that has easy navigation and is SIMPLE. Thanks.
Most monitoring services offer free trials. And many make it very difficult to cancel. They require a credit or debit card and will charge you a monthly fee.
Frankly, monitoring services are a waste of money. They send you canned "alerts" that are pretty worthless. Even the scores they give you are not FICO but a fakko.
You can get a free annual copy of your credit report online from each of the three credit bureaus thru AnnualCreditReport.com. This is the site manadated by the FTC and the only site that does not require you to sign up for monitoring services. Reports are free, scores are not.
Check your credit reports annual for accuracy and pay all your bills on time. Your score will take care of itself. Building credit takes years and a monitoring service won’t help one bit.

Is it a scam? Why is it free I know they ask for your credit card info for the Shipping and handling. Can anyone give me some info about this. Do you get signed up for monthly shipments when you sign up for the free trial? Thanks!
For those who have tried it, does it work? How much weight did you lose?
Hi, hon –
Here’s the way it works: when you sign up to try acai they bill you a few bucks for shipping. Then about 2 weeks later they’ll bill you for the product. So if you try it and don’t like it you have to call them in about a week and tell them to cancel you.
I tried an acai product — this one: http://www.acai-balance.com
So far I’ve lost 2 1/2 pounds a week without changing my exercise routine or diet. That’s pretty awesome, and it’s easy. I recommend it.
Be sure to come back and let us know what works for you honey, and good luck!

match.com offered 3 free day trial. You had to give your bank account number to get the trial. Then on the third day I found out I couldnt find where to cancel the free trial.I couldnt find even a phone number i Emailed there custer service and then they gave me a phone number. When i called match .com about a refund they wouldnt give it to me not only did they not let me cancel they charged 34.99 they most expensive charge they have for 1 month. If match.com wanted to prove there not trying to rip people off why didnt they give the free trial without your bank number and if you liked it then you could give them your bank number. And if you didnt want to continue then they stop the free trial. As for me i only used it that one night and didnt use it any more till i tried to cancel and found out it wasnt so easy to do.I wander how many outhers have found out that after they signed up for match.com free trial offer couldnt figure out how to cancel?
Try to dispute it with your credit card company. Explain the situation and see if they can hold/cancel the payment.
Call the customer service number again and ask to speak with a supervisor. Make sure you throw around words like "fraud", "deceptive practices", etc. If you make yourself a big enough pain in the butt they’ll probably give you the 34.99 back just to get rid of you!
Good luck.

I want to try out emusic but if I don’t like it I want to be able to keep the downloads free. It says free trial, but you never know, and so I was wondering if someone can tell me through personal experience why they need your address when you’re only doing the free trial? And do they stick with it being completely free, no strings attached if you cancel?
A very good question. Be careful with that free stuff. Most of the time free stuff is not free.

My credit card company keeps sending me checks ranging between $8.00 and $20.00. If I cash the check I am automatically enrolled in free credit protection and I get a free 30 day trial period which I can cancel at any time, supposably.
Is this a scam? Do they make it impossible to cancel? What would happen if I were to cash the check and then cancel the plan the next day?
What am I missing here?
Anyone have any experience with these offers?
Credit card companies don’t just give away money. There is ALWAYS a catch. It is not hard to cancel. Usually, though, once they reel you in, you are sunk. Credit protection is pretty good. I think my Credit card company is like $1 for every $100 that is owed. Their thing is, though, they make a LOT of money off of this. A lot of people owe thousands of dollars on credit cards. After payments, interest, and these additional things like credit protection, it’s worth it for them to give you a little twent dollar check.
Like I said, it’s not hard to cancel. However, they BEG you to keep it. You just have to be stern and tell them no.
If all else fails, just read the fine print for any additional catches.

I had a 30 day free trial and it ended yesterday. I cancelled today but am i charged for the free trial along with the first month?
If you benefited from the free trial, especially if you watched a lot of their DVDs during the trial period. If you canceled, even if it’s only 1 day late they are going to get their money, it’s a business that they are running they want profit.
But if you haven’t watched any DVD during their free trial period you can call a Customer Rep. or send them an e-mail and they might consider giving you a refund and extending your free trial period.
