If you download a game that has a free trial, how does it know you’ve downloaded it before?
Depends on the game. Normally, one of two things:
1. Registry data (you can modify this by running "regedit", but this could be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing).
2. Files on your hard drive which are used to identify installation information.
I’m trying to add a friend and it says that the player is not found. He gave me his name and it wouldn’t work so could you add friends to your friend list on WoW if you only have the 10 day free trial?
does my friend have to be online?
If it says the player is not found:
Confirm the friend you are trying to add is on the same server you are playing on.
Make sure that you have the name spelled correctly.
Make sure there are no special characters in his/her name (Like an A with an accent mark above it) as the game does not substitute letters for special characters.
Ive had an xbox 360 for a while but never played online. I would like to try it before I actually start paying for it because I’m not sure if i will like it. Ive seen that some games come with 48 hour free trials, is there any way I can get one of these without buying a whole game?
If you got and Xbox package that includes live upon creating a file, you can play live for one free month. My cousin has an Xbox Elite and his profile ran out one week when I went over so he created a new profile and had live on it for one free month. I have a profile on his Xbox and play Halo. I’m not sure what you mean by games having free trials because I dont think that games can give you Xbox Live. You need to buy a gold membership card and type in the code. You don’t need to buy the card if you have the free live with new profile package like my cousin has.
Xbox Live is so much fun. $50 a year is worth it. You can play with friends, chat, sent messages, and play with other people. I like playing others on Halo 3. You are missing out on a lot if you are just playing campaign or whatever on the game you want to play on live. Just buy the gold membership card. It’s worth it.

Spider-Man 2 the videogame will always hold a special place in my heart. After decades of games taking superheroes, assigning their abilities halfhearted meters, and sticking them in beat’em ups, Spider-Man 2 put you behind the web-head’s mask and let you loose on an open-world. The game had citizens packing side missions, enemies roaming the city, and more. Of course, it also had a bunch of problems, but it at least gave the world a glimpse of what a superhero game could be. Surely, someone would pick up the idea, polish it, and run with it right?
Five years later, Sucker Punch has dusted of that blueprint and improved the out of it. Infamous is one of the best offerings on the PlayStation 3 to date.
When you pick up the controller, you’ll be dropped into the shoes of Cole. He used to be your everyday bike messenger, but that all ended when he was delivering a package and the thing went off in his hands. The ensuing blast leveled a gigantic portion of the city and left Cole in a coma. When he wakes up, everything is screwed — there’s a plague that’s making people sick, the government’s quarantined Empire City, gangs have seized control of the three islands that make up the metropolis, and — most importantly to our tale — Cole finds that he’s been blessed/cursed with electricity-based superpowers. Now that you’re in control of a guy who can shoot lightning bolts from his hands, fall from the highest buildings without taking any damage, and throw cars into the air with his trusty shockwave, what are you going to do?
See, Infamous is an open-world game. Once you’ve gone through the basic tutorial — typical third-person controls with L1 bringing up your reticule for aiming your R1 lightning bolt and face button specials — Empire City is yours to do what you want with. You can go out on story missions, take on the random bad guys camped out on rooftops, tackle some side missions, or just run and jump from rooftop to rooftop. Now, as you get going, you’ll need to get Empire City up and running again. At the most basic level, this means Cole needs to head into the city’s sewers and manually reestablish the connections between transformers (see: he grabs the working electrical box, grabs the one that isn’t working, and lets the juice flow through him to get the city back online). When you do this, you’ll gain a new superpower so that by the end of the game you’ll have access to 16 abilities such as calling down a massive lightning storm that obliterates enemies as well as an electrical shield you can use to block incoming attacks.
Now, the powers are going to get a lot of press leading up to the launch of Infamous, but one of the most endearing things about this game is Empire City itself. You’ll only get to see the pre-blast skyline for a second when you start the title, but the post-blast world is one of wonder and heartache. Now, before things went to hell, Cole was a bit of an urban explorer. This means he’s got mad skills in terms of his climbing ability.

Rogue antispyware is a unique threat to Internet users. It is its own sort of malware that makes use of adware technology in a specific way to create a thoroughly malicious threat to not only your computer’s stability, but also to your pocketbook. Programs such as xpertantivirus do this all under the pretense of being antispyware software. This couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Rogue antispyware lies in wait typically in pornographic websites and mock up antispyware sites. You can also get it from downloading pirated software and from peer to peer (P2P) file sharing. It’s becoming more specific to the latter two forms of attack, but it’s still prevalent on websites despite advances in website rating technology. They still have to get caught first.
There’s almost a perverse sense of justice in the predation of porno sites, P2P file sharing and the pirated software downloading. The game seems to be to exploit the exploiters. However, this still has the vigilante mentality, and it still doesn’t justify what actually happens during the course of a rogue antivirus infection. To steal from a thief is still stealing. Chances are, as well, the same rogues are trying to steal from users with more innocent browsing habits, such as shopping for new antispyware software. So really, there is no justification at all for the presence of rogue antispyware.
In either case, once you click on the infected item, whether it’s a pornographic video, an ill-gotten software or media download, or the so-called “online scan” on the fake antispyware page, the first thing that happens is that a “warning screen” pops up. It begins counting “infected files” on your computer, which are really just your temporary files. Then, it tells you that if you buy the full version, it will clean these “infected files” off of your computer. Even though it shows that you have the option of taking this software or not, it won’t go away if you click on the “No” button. If you say “Yes,” as it pushes for you to do, you go to a buying page where you will be asked for your credit card information.
Sadly, there’s no real way of knowing for certain that it’s a bogus program until you’re infected. If you’re on a pornographic site, you may notice that the URL doesn’t match the title of the page, but there’s no certainty there. Often, the fake antispyware pages are convincing enough that there’s no certainty. Although all these pages have the “free online scan” or the “free trial version,” so do many legitimate antispyware pages. About the only way to honestly know beforehand in the latter case is if you’ve read every article about rogue antispyware out there, however not all of them may have been covered.
Though it may seem there’s no way out of the warning screen without buying, you can always turn your computer off. After that, it’s time to get a real antivirus program.

How come whenever I try to download the WoW free 10 day trial it says WoW Files cannot be downloaded… please help!
It may take a long time to download the game online, depending on your connection of course. Why don’t you get the free trial copy at best buy, it is only for 2 bucks and it includes the CD
i was considering on ordering the free trial for acai burn, and if it really worked, i know that i would want to continue. So how much is it monthly after that? and also if i were to get the free trial for Total cleanse, how much weight could someone lose in the trial period alone and how much would that be after the free trial?

inFamous is an upcoming sandbox-style video game for the Sony PlayStation 3. It is currently in development by Sucker Punch Productions, creators of Rocket: Robot on Wheels, and the Sly Cooper video game franchise. The game was announced at Sony’s E3 2007 Press Conference on July 11, 2007. The debut trailer indicated that the game would be released sometime in 2008, although the July 2008 issue of Game Informer has stated that the release date has been moved to Spring 2009. It will be the company’s first original IP since Sly Cooper.
The game is a third-person sandbox world that combines elements of the superhero MMO City of Heroes with a roaming open-world, allowing the player to make choices between being a hero or an anti-hero that will affect the game. The player will also have access to electrical powers. The player will obtain them right at the beginning of the game.
According to the Game Informer preview, inFamous follows the story of Cole, a resident of a fictional Empire City. At the start of the game, an explosion rips apart six city blocks, leaving behind a crater and Cole as the only survivor. The explosion has granted Cole several electricity-based powers, but he falls into unconsciousness, waking up two weeks later to find that Empire City has fallen into chaos; without police, gangs have taken over areas of the city, and a plague has infected many of the residents causing the city to be quarantined by the government. It is revealed by “The Voice of Survival”, a surviving disk jockey that broadcasts across the city, that Cole was the cause of the explosion, and thus sets the population of Empire City against him. Cole must come to terms with his powers, and opt to help those in need or simply survive on his own, facing off against larger threats that have manifested in the city due to the explosion and its aftermath.
According to Fox, the team wanted to have Cole as a “kind of an everyman”, such that they could then “get into the headspace of what it would be like to be a real human being who has been granted these exceptional abilities”. While Cole is the main playable character, he is joined by two friends; Zeke, a conspiracy theorist and survivalist who becomes jealous of Cole’s powers, and Trish, Cole’s ex-girlfriend and medical student who resents him but still helps in treating the injured, a “Lois Lane with syringes” as stated by Sucker Punch.
inFamous is a sandbox video game. The player controls Cole and his newly acquired electrical powers as he makes his way around Empire City. Ultimately, the player will need to defeat three major forces that have each taken over one section of Empire City.
Cole’s primary means of interaction is through his electricity-based powers. These include shooting electricity from his hands to nearby targets, creating an electricity-based shield to repel foes, and creating a delayed explosion of a ball of energy much like sticky grenades. The electrical powers can be used both against living targets as well as inanimate objects; Game Informer describes one such situation where the player could opt to take out armed guards with electricity directly, or instead use the power on electrical generators to cause them to explode, damaging the guards in that fashion…
